Communications AssistantFull Time

• Job Details:• Manage and maintain WFP Arabic website. This includes publishing translated stories, ensuring it reflects global website, corporate priorities, and regional updates. • Act as focal point for Arabic translation, liaising with external translator, proofreading and giving feedback. Arabic support may extend to other regions and/or HQ as required. • Act as focal point for website (English/Arabic) liaising with the editorial team in HQ on published material, metrics, and content plans. • Manage and further develop internal records and databases, ensuring information is accurate, organised and available for others to access as well as ready for use for team planning and evaluation purposes. • Act as the branding focal point to ensure WFP branding and advocacy guidelines are applied in the publications produced by Communications in the MENA region. • Monitor mainstream media, and report relevant information to senior staff to inform the development and/or evaluation of communications activities and strategies as well as news trends and compile news digest when required. • Manage the procurement-related requests. This includes guiding, mentoring, and following up with the unit's business support assistant on raising/finalizing purchase orders until payment is processed. • Act as focal point for news dissemination/tracking and develop media contact lists per region, country, language or influence as required to support the flow of news/information about WFP’s work.

Social Media ConsultantFull Time

• Job Details:• Create content for UNFPA’s social media accounts by drafting proposed messages and utilizing a wide range of existing UNFPA content and images. • Manage the global UNFPA social Media Accounts. • Identify strategic opportunities of partnerships for UNFPA social media engagement. • Assist with live coverage of events by taking pictures and short videos and drafting messages for UNFPA social media channels. • Create social media communication packages for key events. • Create monthly social media reports, campaign reports, and the annual Digital Report. • Monitor UNFPA’s social media channels and execute community management tasks such as responding to questions from community members and flagging reputational risks or communication opportunities to the Digital Media Analyst. • Maintain and update the Social Media Content Calendar. • Proactively liaise with Technical and Programme divisions to generate new content and develop engaging social media posts. • Improve the relationship with the UNFPA Arab States Regional Office (ASRO) and create new system for Arabic translations (website & social media). • Ensure social media presence and branding is consistent and cohesive across all platforms.
