• Job Details:• Sheraton Miramar el Gouna IT assistant 2007-june 2019 • To ensure that the hotel’s computer system both hardware and software and broad band system are fully accounted for, properly maintained and reliable. • To draw procedures to ensure that any problems encountered in software and hardware are addressed immediately. • To ensure the physical and logical security of IT system. • To define and keep updated written incident management policies and procedures where action to be taken, persons to be contacted in case of incident are clearly mentioned. • To attend to any problems encountered in software and hardware by all departments in the most diligent manner and keep track of such incidents and the way they have been solved. • To perform routine system setups as may be required by software and/or programs such as regular update of anti-virus programs. • To strictly perform daily/monthly back up procedures, ensure the successful completion of the process and the safeguard of the backup tapes. • To assists any departments of the hotel in formulating their IT material requirements and provide adequate solutions to their needs. • To provide regular training on IT security and ensure that all PMS access passwords are regularly updated, automatic standby mode on servers and PMS activated and IT procedures strictly followed by all employees. • To perform regular computer audits in the search of un-authorized programs, improper setup or loophole in the security setup. • To develop sound relationships with IT and maintenance providers. • Ensure controls and third party supply and support services maintained. IT budgeting and procurement; Ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations that meet current and future decision making requirements. • To work closely with any departments of the hotel. • To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety. • To strictly adhere to departmental SOPs. • maintain and monitor windows 2003 and windows 2008 and windows 2012 domain controllers • maintain and monitor vertias backup servers • maintain and monitor TMS servers (call accounting software) • maintain and monitor office automation servers • maintain and monitor WSUS servers • maintain and monitor Opera servers v5 and Micros Fidelio 9700 servers • maintain and monitor Back office systems (Scala) and Store cost control programs (Material Control) • trouble shoot domain users problems forcing and implementing Star wood company policy • troubleshooting internet problems for guests
