• Job Details:• Combination of using wet analytical techniques and use of instrumentation for characterisation of waste, using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), Ion chromatography (IC). • Working to control the chemical treatment process to ensure required end points are reached. Involves bulking and making up reaction tankers and advising of adjustments to the process as required. • Carrying out technical assessments of incoming waste enquiries and outgoing loads to characterise waste materials in accordance with legislation.

Process ChemistFull Time

• Job Details:• Working as a process chemist in a waste treatment, disposal and recycling service. • Analysing chemical waste, from hazardous to non-hazardous waste. • Supervising the chemical treatment process to ensure set specification are reached • Processing reactors to dispose and recycle of chemical waste. • Carrying out laboratory work, using wet analytical techniques. • Identifying HP regulation codes of waste and assigning the correct route of process. • Following the correct PPE when handling with hazardous chemicals.
