Product Manager - SQLstreamFull Time

• Job Details:I managed SQLstream, an enterprise software platform for real-time data analytics, used by Amazon, Cisco, Walmart, and Verizon. Really, it's a suite of products: a high-performance runtime, various artifacts (Docker, Azure, AWS, Linux), an extended SQL syntax for stream-to-stream JOINs and WINDOWs for time-series analytics, and a low-code GUI for building data pipelines in minutes through point and click. I coordinated monthly software releases and planned an 18-month product roadmap. Additionally, I gave sales presentations and demos to companies like AT&T, Dell, Claro, and Nokia. Often, as part of the sales engagement, I built custom solutions for those clients – i.e. streaming data pipelines using SQL, Python, dashboards, and machine learning. Beyond that, I wrote / edited technical documentation (while hiring and training tech writers). And I conducted training for customers as far afield as Malaysia. Our users were software developers, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. At the same time, I crafted materials for sales enablement and marketing: PDF data sheets, presentations, email campaigns, even scripts for marketing videos. I undertook competitor analysis and benchmarking. And I worked to foster broader adoption of our platform – both inside a complex organization (Thales has 80,000 employees worldwide) and among external clients. Unfortunately, Guavus was dissolved by the parent company, Thales Group.

Principal Product Manger / FounderFull Time

• Job Details:With investor backing, I built an online marketplace from scratch, which was focused on buying / selling fractional ownership shares of digital assets. I personally coded 100% of the business logic in SQL: auction bidding, negotiated offers, listing creation, staff review, search, payment, withdrawal, etc. And I designed a complete UI for mobile / desktop with over 150 mockups. Meanwhile, I supervised a small team of contractors (React, Node.js, graphic design) and tested API endpoints.

Head of Product / Director of OperationsFull Time

• Job Details:As the #2 exec at a small GoDaddy competitor, I supervised staff on 4 continents, overseeing a 24/7 Customer Support department in parallel with engineering. On the product side, I pioneered the industry's most advanced tools for leasing / financing. I was responsible for major customer accounts, business partnerships, and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR). I implemented new processes and policies, integrated new software solutions, wrote SQL for business intelligence, gathered customer feedback, designed new features, planned the roadmap, and led the team day to day.
