Planning Executive

• Job Details:Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function. Review historical sales trends, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers. Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with sales, marketing and customer finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. Provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Researching and identifying prospective suppliers. Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations. Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria. Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions. Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements. Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns. Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings. Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records. Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Create statistical forecasts and gather, analyze, and validate data. Review resulting statistical forecast model. Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts. Review promotional plans with sales. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel. Monitor trends in forecast error. Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.

Planning Specialist

• Job Details:Confer with production & sales departments personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. Issue manufacturing orders with reference to machines capacity. Issue purchasing orders to maintain adequate inventory levels. Prepare production schedules considering available material stocks and inventory. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Confer with production personnel to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
