• Job Details:As Head of Music and Art at Aspire International School I am responsible for the following: 1.Overseeing academic planning and following up with my team of teachers to ensure successful delivery of the curriculum according to the Cambridge framework. 2. Uploading resource materials to the school’s online learning platform, overseeing reports and communication with staff, school management and parents regarding these subjects. 3. I am responsible for class observations and providing constructive feedback which is used for teacher evaluation and KPIs. 4. I am closely involved in planning and rehearsing for school musical performances and helping to prepare for the Art Exhibition. 5. Ordering supplies, musical instruments, keeping inventory and managing repairs of items. 6. Holding weekly /bi weekly team meetings to plan and discuss issues that may involve planning, department issues, supplies purchase orders,etc. 7.Attending senior leadership team meetings to champion my department's ideas and issues and to collaborate with the school's leadership and other department heads. 8. Interviewing and attending demo lessons of prospective Music and Art teachers, during the hiring process As Head Events Coordinator my duties involve the following: 1. Developing the Schools Events Calendar 2. Collaborating with the schools management and Academic Team to organise meaningful events that compliment the students academic learning. 3. Ensuring all activities uphold the school's vision and mission. 4. Working closely with all teachers and facilitating their need towards any given event. 5. Organising fundays, renting equipment and contacting vendors and service providers. 6. Working closely with the school's marketing and graphics teams to promote our events on social media. 7. Arranging for schools photos, videography of special events, tailoring of costumes for school plays and performances,etc. 8. Organising educational and fun trips for all stages. 9. Developing an events fees collection policy for the school staff and students. 10. Working closely with the finance department to oversee and track the approval and spending of the events budget. 11. Working closely and communicating with all stakeholders ( custodial to CEO ) to ensure smooth execution of any task involving events. Aspire International School Music Lead (2020-2021) My duty is to develop and deliver grade level, appropriate music instruction according to the Cambridge Primary Music Curriculum. Students are actively engaged in general music activities including instrument classes, music appreciation, choir and integrating music with their global perspective subjects and units of inquiry. Further tasks include assessing and reporting of students progress;communicating effectively with colleagues,administrators and parents; planning for and delivering meaningful musical experiences ; delivering online instruction and recording tutorial videos for my students.
