Protection Design EngineerFull Time

• Job Details:Handling E.H.V. and H.V. projects in the field of control, protection, metering, and other secondary design activities for transmission and distribution substations. This includes, but not limited to: 1. Control, protection, metering, synchronizing and interlocking schemes (Siemens, ABB, ALSTOM, and SEL). 2. Interface with primary equipment, cable schedules and termination charts. 3. Interface with bay units and SCADA/RTU. 4. Preparation of Substation Main Switching Single Line Diagram. 5. Preparation of Relaying & Metering Single Line Diagram and Protection Logic Diagram. 6. Preparation of Substation Interlocking Logic Diagram. 7. Preparation of CT/VT Sizing Calculations. 8. Preparation of Substation Signal Lists such as: SCADA, Alarm, Sequential Event Recorder (SOE), Transient/Disturbance Fault Recorder (TFR/DFR), and Dynamic System Monitoring (DSM). 9. Studying of Project Technical Specifications, Scope of Work (SOW), Pre-bidding, Post-bidding, and other Tendering Documents. 10. Preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ). 11. Substation Automation System (SAS) Substations. 12. Modifications of existing control and protection schematics in remote-end substations. 13. Preparing Tele-protection Interfacing Diagrams. 14. Reviewing of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Metal-clad Switchgear CT/VT Data and Base/Detailed Design Documents. 15. Control & Protection Panel Engineering. 16. Reviewing of Manufacturer Power Transformer Base & Detail Design Schematics. 17. Reviewing of Manufacturer Relay & Control Panels such as Line, Transformer, Busbar, Capacitor, Bus-Coupler/Section, Under-voltage/Under-frequency Load Shedding, Energy Metering, Dynamic System Monitoring (DSM), Power Factor & Maximum Demand Recording, Synch-check and Trip Circuit Supervision Panels.
