- Job Details:Supporting epidemiological activities within MSF France mission in Yemen including but not limited to the following: • Internal Fixation Study: Clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients who had internal fixation orthopedic surgery at the MSF Aden Trauma Centre: A combination of retrospective and prospective descriptive study (Field Principal Investigator) Achievements: - Developed research protocol and approved it by MSF Ethics Review Board and local ERB AT Aden University - Developed a data collection system and a database for Internal Fixation study using REDCap - Provided training and oversaw data collection activities to three data operators and a study focal point at the hospital • Intensive Care Unit database - Conducted a comprehensive assessment of ICU activities, database quality and research priorities for future operational needs (operational research, monitoring, and evaluation of activities) - Submitted a final report to ICU referent and the field to support setting up performance • Vaccination Coverage assessment in Internal Displaced Population camps in Aden: Supported MSF outreach team in Aden: - Developed rapid assessment plan covering three out of 34 camps in Aden - Supervised a team of five health promoters in conducting focus group discussions with caretakers and community leaders, and key informant interviews with partner organizations - Reviewed and edited the final report to be used as a reference in developing health messages directed to community needs - Presented a proposal on establishing a community event-based surveillance system as part of next year’s activities plan based on the assessment report • Patients Satisfaction Survey: - Supported the team in developing the survey to be adequate for analysis according to operational objectives - Trained surveyors on conducting interviews with Yemeni patients using Kobo Collect • REDCap data migration for Antibiotic Stewardship Program: - Overseeing data migration to the developed database in REDCap - Developed dashboard to generate regular monthly/annual reports
