• Job Details:• Place Production orders, Prepares and distributes weekly production schedules / work order dispatch lists. • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay • Determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay • Schedule shift according to production needs • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.) • Prepare and submit status and performance reports • Keep paperwork organized • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff • Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels • Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage • Address issues regarding quality and production • Produce reports based on findings and performance of production • Manage deadlines based on project expectations • Predicts how long a project will take to complete • Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion date • Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions • Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production. • Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability. • Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution. • Investigate production problem, analyze root causes and provide solutions. • Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives. • Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines. • Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences. • Maintains consolidated sales forecasts in the MRP system. • Using the MRP system, translates the consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule / build schedule. • Monitors daily schedule status and communicates scheduling problems or concerns to Management. • Participates in, or leads in the absence of the Production Manager, the daily production meetings on the shop floor. • Confers with the Production Manager to determine the status of schedules and materials to revise schedules, as necessary, to meet customer demands. • Assist management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and cancellations of customer orders. • Proposes, gains approval for, and leads implementation of improved planning methods, tools, and reports. • Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.
