Senior VAS Engineer Operations.Full Time

• Job Details:Specialties: VAS Systems: CRBT • Experienced on SS7 (User Parts [ISUP) and SCAP Diameter charging protocol, SMPP with Excellent troubleshooting skills. • Experienced on in Value Added services and systems RBT, SMS, USSD, IVR. • Experienced on IP Networks and configuration of CISCO/HP equipment [CCNA level of routing and switching & VLANs]. • Operating Systems skills: • Red Hat Expertise High Availability Clustering (PaceMaker/Redhat Cluster suite). • Virtualization technologies - RedHat Virtualization RHEV 3.5. • MySQL & Oracle 11g & 12c database system administration. • Experienced on (Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, Squid proxy, HA Proxy load balancing). • VAS Operations, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Development USSD, SMS, IVR provisioning channels. • Shell scripting programming language. • Working in VAS Level-2 support department and responsible for Operations & Maintenance of VAS nodes specially CRBT. • Work closely with RBT platform engineering teams to update, upgrade, and enhance systems availability, continuity, and performance. • Handling issues & critical alarms escalated from VAS 1st line related to VAS RBT provisioning channels (USSD, SMS, IVR, OBD) within the agreed SLA/TAT, closure of the NOC Trouble Tickets and carrying out routine maintenance activities. • Deploy, configure and test E2E VAS provisioning services like USSD, RBT, IVR, SMS products, troubleshooting server related Issue/Connectivity, maintenance, monitoring & also coordinate with team(s) for Deployment and Expansion of the Linux and Windows servers & E1’s etc. Operations responsibility: • Ensuring all VAS nodes in network availability at all time. • Develop tools and scripts for monitor systems and make automated reports. • Second line support with necessary expertise to solve issues escalated from first line diagnostics. • Provided guidance and implementation for software delivery and upgrades. • Troubleshoot on HW/SW fault for All VAS Nodes. • Job Details: Provided 24/7 on call support and Respond to the network and platforms alarms through the different monitoring tools. • Experienced implementing and configuring activation, Grace and Suspension periods with RBT subscription manager platform single point ‘Managed Service’ for all VAS applications requiring subscription management and charging. • Performs activities related to implementation, maintenance and support of Linux Platform and systems • Provide system administration for critical servers, install software, manage file systems and monitor performance, System failure analysis and recovery. • Vendor and Suppler Management. • Handle Vas applications operations and configurations. • Follow up with Operator to solve trouble tickets and incidents. • Prepare and execute test scenarios and test Plans of Vas services (UAT, APT). • Trace and analysis problems between RBT platforms and other network elements mainly MSC and IN. • Prepare and submit activity reports for projects and day to day operations (daily, weekly, monthly, and on demand). • Monitor system capacity (HW, SW, licenses) to meet business requirements.
