• Job Details:• Applying regular routine inspections to the static equipments in the production units of the organization (Internal, On-stream, External, Thickness, Corrosion under insulation “CUI” inspection.), verifying and ensuring proper functioning under the safety and mechanical reliability premises of the organization, reporting anomalies, unsafe conditions and issuing recommendations to mitigate the irregularities in the process. • Applying Turnaround inspections to the static equipments in the production units of the organization (Internal, External, Thickness, Corrosion under insulation “CUI” inspection), verifying and ensuring proper mechanical integrity for service. • Applying inspection methods and assessment of mechanical condition and integrity, supported on best business practices, based on codes, standards, as well as national and international rules in accordance with statutory regulations, such as API 510 for pressure vessels, API 570 for process piping, API 573 for furnaces and boilers, API 653 for atmospheric storage tanks, etc • Applying Nondestructive Examination (NDE), methods such as liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), ultrasonics (UT),visual inspection (VT), etc • Issuing recommendations and formulating activities of repair / maintenance / replacement / alteration needed to restore back the mechanical conditions of the static production equipments depending on his failure records, degradation mechanisms and environment, supporting profitable cost-benefit relations. • Preparing technical reports of the evaluation activities, assessment, maintenance, construction, repair and alteration, as well as records of failure and prevailing degradation mechanisms in static production equipments • Applying Quality acceptance and Quality Control (QA / QC) of repair, maintenance or replacement activities to the static production equipments, according issued recommendations and made list of work to be apply in workshops, projects and program or not plants shutdown. • Reviewing construction drawings and design specifications of projects to be implemented by the organization and verify that they are in accordance with national and international standards and regulations • Reviewing reports and technical specifications of the static production equipments to determine their failure history and characteristic degradation mechanisms. • Applying constant monitoring of variables and operating conditions during production activities of the unit which could affect the mechanical integrity of the equipments, recommending improvements and modifications, making reports of the parameters continuity or deviation, implementing policies and procedures of the organization. • Projecting the mechanical / operational behavior of static production equipments based on their failure history and statistical / deterministic data collected in operation. • Creating and managing SAP (systems, applications and products) notices, enterprise resource management system used by Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA), entering associated repair and maintenance activities to the static production equipments. • Managing and leadership of the Equipment Inspection Engineers department during the repair / maintenance / manufacturing of the static production equipments in the associate projects and plans shutdown. • Auditing / observing contractor construction projects, reporting work progress and checking the maintenance, replacement, repair and alteration activities, verifying material quantities, design specifications, unsafe conditions, parameter deviations, safeguarding the interests of the organization. • Using of various tools and measuring inspection equipments, such as gauges, magnifiers, calculator, photographic camera, knives, hammer, mirror, magnets, pens, notepads, ultrasonic, thermography camera, etc
