• Job Details:Lead Process Engineer: Project Turbo, Sasol Technology 2001 - 2004 Key Achievements Project Turbo was successfully commissioned ensuring Sasol became compliant with Euro II Fuel Specifications. This project significantly increased Sasol’s propylene production. • Managed and supervised the process engineering scope and contractor interfaces for the upgrade of the Secunda Complex to produce a lead free petrol pool. Business units included Refinery, Polypropylene/Ethylene and Sasol Synfuels. • Co-ordinated and facilitated design reviews and HAZOP studies. • Conducted resource planning for commissioning activities. Senior Process Engineer: C4 Skeletal Isomerisation Refinery Project, Sasol Technology 2000 - 2001 Key Achievements Meticulous reorganisation (within time and operational constraints) of the Catalytic Polymer refinery Plant to receive isomerised product from the C4 Skeletal Isomerisation refinery plant. Senior Process Engineer: C5 Skeletal Isomerisation Refinery Project Sasol Technology 2000 - 2001 Key Achievements Identified, implemented and measured specifications to improve the throughput capacity of the CD TAME Refinery plant by 5%. Isolated and targeted a design change to remove visible and unsafe practices. • Revised the CD TAME Refinery plant to supply feed to the C5 Skeletal Isomerisation Refinery Plant. • Overhauled the Tank Farm Area for product rundown, from C5 Skeletal Isomerisation Refinery Plant. • Designed the nitrogen start-up system for C5 Skeletal Isomerisation Refinery Plant. • Performed design audits on engineering, procurement and construction management contractors. • Integrated interface between design and operations teams.
