- Job Details:Mantrac Group is the authorized Caterpillar dealer, distributing and supporting Caterpillar construction machines, power systems and material handling equipment in nine countries spread over three continents. In this role my main responsibilities are: • Performing all costing activities of Caterpillar Machines sales including -Recognition of cost of sale, and the various elements of sales expenses in accordance with IFRS and Group Policies - Cost allocation - Maintaining general ledger by reconciling entries - Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. • Cost centers maintenance • Assist In preparation of financial monthly cost reports, mid-year reviews etc. and prepare special reports as requested. • Ensure month end closing activities are complete within the agreed timelines. • Assisting in preparing commentary on monthly and annual variance analysis • Build, maintain, and update the financial inventory database with the various elements and ensure that inventory cost information is updated and are in line with the supporting documents. • Caterpillar Customs and Clearance costs monitoring and allocation • Work with banks to ensure the availability of foreign and local funds needed for the payment and clearance of the imported Machines and non-cat products • Cross check and validate CAT machines SOA for payment in time • Cost allocation and financial inventory maintenance of non-cat products using the Microsoft Dynamics accounting system • Follow updates in Local and international financial standards. • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating transactions.
