- Job Details:My experience at IMEIF - Institut Méditerranéen d'Étude d'Ingénierie et de Formation - gave me the opportunity to work on all the phases of a project called “Jobs to Create”. It helped me excel at my communications and M&E skills. I got to recruit the candidates and co-facilitate a Couture and Design workshop. I had to monitor and evaluate the project using data collection tables on Excel and follow-up plans that consist of having individual files for every candidate to monitor their development and evaluate their skills. Individual meetings and focus groups were as important to evaluate the project and collect feedbacks. I wrote a lot of proposals that helped IMEIF get funds for its projects as well as power points to properly present them to our donors during meetings. I delivered a lot of communications tasks such as brochures for each activity, newsletters, press releases and reports to update our funders as well as our partners on the projects. I worked on an Activity and Employment Cooperative project to help the participants create their own businesses. I also got to handle all social networks and IMEIF’s website for visibility and to publicize the project and its events.

Trainee/VolunteerFull Time
- Job Details:I had a full-time job as a trainee at Catholic Relief Services working directly with refugees and asylum seekers from different countries and cultures in the quality education department. I gained a lot of knowledge and I learned a lot from that experience. I got to help in the implementation of the UNICEF project in Cairo, Damietta and Alexandria. The UNICEF project mainly focused on KG students, KG managers and KG teachers and ALP (Accelerated Learning Program) students. I had the opportunity to work with a team that have the same vision as me, that is to help the youth and kids to feel integrated, children to have their rights in having a decent childhood and a decent quality education and to help the refugees have a better life in general. That’s why we had to go on a lot of visits and missions inside and outside of Cairo like Damietta and Alexandria to follow up with the KG managers and teachers. I went on a 5 days mission to Damietta where I also got to be a facilitator and deliver teacher’s training sessions to try and help the children have a better-quality education. Visiting African and Syrian KGs made me care a lot more about them, about their health, their childhood, their rights, and their wellbeing in general. Moreover, I participated in implementing and organizing a 3 days camp for the ALP students for them to have life skills sessions and participate in a lot of fun activities. In this camp I got to be a cofacilitator and I got to deliver life skills sessions related to time management, budgeting, decision making and problem solving, creative thinking and communication, etc.… In this camp I was also responsible for the Art activities. I’m experienced with report writings as I wrote several ones sent to UNICEF. In these reports I got to summarize and analyze data. I’m also experienced with Word, Excel and Data entry.
