• Job Details:Work at the technical department as a Material Controller – Quantity Survey & Materials Take-off Engineer. 1- Perform quantity surveying and optimization for material in accordance to approved shop drawings to be checked with Bill of Quantity for all projects in material allocation stage 2- Review the result of quantity surveying and compare it with bill of quantity. 3- Calculate all the materials needed to cover the project according to the approved shop drawing. (Bracket-Alum. profiles -gasket-Bolts-Silicon-accessories –Alum. Sheets-S. Steel sheets-Cladding Sheets-Glass sheets). 4- In some projects that require rare material; suggest other solutions with the design department. 5- Try to use the free stock in other projects instead of buying new material 6- Estimate the final allocated material quantities and send them to the material manager for final approval and preparation for the purchase order. 7- Receive material approval from material manager and follow up their allocation for the specified project on Material Control System. 8- Study the work order to determine the required raw material with their cutting list and then send to the work order processor to enter them in the optimization program and get the best way of cutting. 9- Follow up with the purchasing department in case of material unavailability in stock. 10- Create a report of the unavailable material (Work Order Material Report) including date of arrival according to purchasing department and its effect on fabrication and installation, and then attach it to the work order. 11- Work in material re-allocation in case of deviation between work order & original shop drawings. 12- Handle Installation / Fabrication problems if occur in coordination with the design department. 13- Consider time schedule and target of the project while performing all tasks above. 14- Coordinate between the material department and the rest of departments like planning and projects, production, purchasing and the estimation. 15-Good background of Aluminum Shop Drawing according to Quantity survey and Material take off.
