Achievements
During my bachelor project, I made the very first educational prototype of an industrial "PUMA" six degree of freedom robotic arm in the German University in Cairo. It consisted of six rotary joints and measured about 61 cm in height. I also did the base for the robot which was housing all the electronics components, controls, and circuitry for the robot inside it. The project was individual and consisted of five main milestones including: Design, Fabrication, Actuation, Assembly, and Motion Control. The mechanical designs for the individual links of the robot arm were done using "Solidworks" and the robot was fabricated out of a plastic-type material called "PLA" abbreviated for Poly-lactic acid using the 3D printing technique. The majority of the software coding required to perform motion control for the robot in its operating work space was done using "National Instruments LabVIEW" and programmed on NI Data Acquisition sets in addition to Arduino IDE and micro controller partially.
