- Job Details:An operations officer and technical referent for a consortium of Academia (Johns Hopkins University and University of Melbourne), INGOs (Miracle feet and Momentum Wheels for Humanity) and digital education platform (Physiopedia). Supporting the USAID funded national health system strengthening project through conducting evidence based researches, interaction with stakeholders and coordinating technical activities. Responsibilities, activities, and achievements included; Developing annual activities plan and activities budget in coordination with all departments, and ensuring implementation of activities to meet the timeline. The exercise includes activities matrix and narrative development, and donor (USAID) review meetings. Ensuring strengthening of health system through capacity building of national health system stakeholders, that includes establishing district level service model and national level situation analysis and assessment, using World Health Organization guidelines and tools. Ensuring coordination and collaboration with the national (Government, Academia, NGOs, Private sector) and international (WHO country office and HQ, Academia, NGOs) technical partners of the project and participates to technical working groups to ensure the implementation of the project's activities. Creating national and district level health working group under the umbrella of Ministry of Health, including national stakeholders. The responsibilities included writing terms of reference, recruitment of participants and coordinating the working groups. Contributing to or leading the necessary technical training that includes online and face to face capacity building trainings for leadership, rehabilitation workforce, health management, assistive technology provision and procurement, and identification of disabilities on community level. Contributing to advocacy on specific themes in line with consortium communication strategy and the global advocacy priorities. Contributing to communication messages locally in line with the global communication priorities and in close collaboration with the consortium Communications coordinator. Building collaboration with professional networks, training institutes and main rehabilitation providers and facilitate exchange of information with consortium partners as relevant Providing technical guidance and support for proposed academic researches on methodologies, contextualization, tools and implementation. Building and implementing a service model of rehabilitation services provision on district level in collaboration with public and private sectors to provide variant rehabilitation services including Physiotherapy, Prosthetic and Orthotics, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Developing reports to donor (USAID), Consortium leads, and Country Director. A narrative report that includes data analysis is provided on the monthly, quarterly and annual reviews. Donor reporting includes desk review in addition to the narrative reports. Supporting the design and the implementation of case studies, evaluation studies and other learning in country in close collaboration with country project team and the consortium technical coordinators.
