• Job Details:Primary achievements: As General Manager of the Consulting Office, I managed to establish it from scratch and to hire its staff (70 engineers of different specialities and 40 technicians and administrative clerks), in a period of 3 months which was 40% less than the primary schedule. I implemented the development and organisation of the New Consulting Office, transforming it into a functional sector of the General Directorate of Projects and Maintenance (G.D.P.M.), two (2) months earlier than the initial design. Using the principals and processes of PMP methodology we achieved, under my directions, to provide the effective management of, and offers the needed technical support to Univesity Projects. This included, indicative and not limited:  the initiating phase of the construction projects,  the review of projects documents (contracts, specifications, drawings, BOQs, tendering documentation and bidding procedures, QC/QA plans, HSA plans, etc.), regarding their compliance to University's Specifications  the preparation for project kick-offs  the Contractors’ supervision for the execution the projects' works,  the assurance of implementing QC/QA and HSE plans  the assurance of the conformity of the projects execution with the University’s standards. Under my directions, conducting a clever usage of all available resources, we increased the total number of the projects in the five (5) University Campuses, which was under our teams' responsibilities to 45. Kinds of University Projects:  Education buildings,  Residential buildings, villas and tower  Conference centre,  Sports building hall,  Administrative buildings  Mosques  Infrastructure for the Campuses etc. The total budget for these projects was 1,02 billion $ and the total building area over the 1,10 million m2. Moreover, as a recognition of the successful work had been done in my sector, I was assigned the Project Support Office (P.S.O.) as Head Manager. The scope of P.S.O. (12 employees and two specialist engineers) was the provision of the necessary services among the sectors of G.D.P.M., mainly in administrative and archiving subjects.
