Microbiologist cum Chemist

• Job Details:Perform routine microbiological and chemical testing of raw materials, semifinished, finished products and water samples to ensure compliance with ISO 17025:2017 and GMP standards. Execute a hygiene improvement project at the factory, focusing on the soap plant, PP plant, and canteen. Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards, while performing regular internal audits for regulatory compliance. Model development in FT-NIR for Pears Baby, Lifebuoy and Sunlight for TFM analysis. Ensure product integrity, conduct chemical analyses of products, including tests for pH, viscosity, TFM, anionic activity etc for both personal products and soaps. Conduct microbiological tests (TVC, coliform, salmonella, yeast and molds etc) on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples. Manage laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for optimal performance. Prepare detailed reports on testing results for the stakeholders and ensure accurate documentation in line with good laboratory practices (GLP). Prepare reagents, media, and other consumables while maintaining accurate records and documentation for internal and external audits. Train junior staff on laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and quality system procedures.

Quality System Assistant Manager

• Job Details:Responsible for the development and implementation of GLP and ISO-17025:2017 systems in Unilever Horana lab. Provide comprehensive awareness training to Unilever lab staff regarding all clauses of ISO-17025 standard and GLP. Prepare and maintain the ISO-17025 quality policy manual maintenance of procedures (SOP), recording formats, reporting formats, lists, etc for calibration & calibration verification of all lab equipment. Responsible for maintaining strict document controlling for all applicable documents belongs to laboratory quality management system. Initiate and coordinate uncertainty assessment for all the testings within scope test methods performed in Unilever quality assurance lab. Initiate and coordinate interlaboratory comparison (ILC) studies for all critical test parameters in Unilever quality assurance lab. Execute instrument qualifications (IQ) protocols for all critical equipment and maintain records. Prepare and maintain specifications for all chemicals, reagents, media, supplements, glassware, plasticware, metalware, other consumables, etc. Act as coordinator for all audits conducted in laboratory such as ISO-9001, ISO-17025, ISO-14001 GLP, SLS, hygiene, etc and act as internal audit lead for the lab.
