- Job Details:Key Roles and Responsibilities • Performs and reviews all project general accounting functions, including the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close work. • Reviews the invoices submitted by the vendor after verifying them against the project records. • Responsible for the review of checks payable to various vendors and governmental bodies. • Review of all travel expense reports and ensure that all supporting documents are in place. • Ensures that invoices, documentation, and all required approvals are in place before payments are made to consultants, vendors, and subs. • Reviews the settlement of advances issued for all COE-Energy workshops & events. • Resolves issues concerning check deposits and transactions, and liaising for COE-Energy project’s financial issues during events. • Prepares and directs the preparation of audits, financial statements and varied fiscal reports. • Analyze financial information, call attention to trends, make recommendations, collect information and prepare reports. Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances. • Responsible for the supervision and review of Petty Cash payments for office expenses. • Responsible for the review of all USAID COE-Energy Grants and Applied research's payments. • Prepares monthly salary payroll, salary charging sheet including tax and social insurance withholdings, and liaise with local authority. • Responsible for the preparation of staff payroll, including the review of any related forms and processing payments for separating staff; reconciliation of net payroll and bank summaries; review of staff employees timesheets for accuracy, completion, and approval signatures; keeping track of total hours worked, annual, sick leave and holidays; and tracking of overtime to ensure it complies with COE-Energy policy. • Undertakes any other duty requested by the Director of Finance, HR & Procurement.
