• Job Details:Assist in preparing the annual audit plan according to a risk-based audit and follow up on audits progress according to the plan. Planning audits through the preparation of the risk register whereby risk and controls are identified and assessed for every process. Perform the audit fieldwork after preparing the audit work program and documents the results in the audit work papers. Ensure that operations are carried out in accordance to banks policies and procedures, central bank regulations and standard banking practice. Identify weakness in control system and processes (control gaps) and report deficiencies to senior management. Discuss potential observations with the bank stakeholders and agree on action plans and target dates. Draft the audit report for approval of the head of audit and prepare the final report. Follow up on previously raised observations to ensure that they are rectified according to the action plan prepared. Ensure that internal audit operational and administrative duties are undertaken promptly and effectively in accordance to the annual audit plan, details time budgets, and auditing guidelines to confirm adherence to the division’s quality assurance program. Provide training and guidance to all subordinates to enable them to contribute to the achievement of the divisions and the banks objectives. Develop and maintain appropriate working relationships with senior management and all levels of staff.
