• Job Details:PROFILE Structural Design Manager cum Team Lead with 14+ years of experience at progressively responsible supervisory and technical design positions. Demonstrated ability to design and detail PEB/Steel Buildings, Steel Bridges, Industrial Structures, Substations, and Workshops, Industrial Unloading/Loading Bays with Cranes, Multi Storied Residential Buildings, Commercial Buildings, Auditorium, Villas & Apartments. Planning and directing the design activities. And to provide cost effective solutions to design, process, and client requirements issues. - Working Experience with International Building Codes, UBC97, IBC 2006, CBC 2009 British Codes - BS5950(Steel), BS8110(Concrete), BS6399, etc. American Codes – AISC 360(Steel), ACI 318(Concrete), ASCE 7, MBMA etc. German Codes – CIDECT(Hollow Sections) Technical Leadership • To Prepare Technical Design Reports and Specifications and check work/specifications of subordinates. • Undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects. • Contribute to group initiatives with respect to technical development / market sectors and processes. • Broad design knowledge and diverse sector experience from working on a wide range of projects. Project Management • Lead projects on behalf of the group, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships. • In charge of multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions. • Review, with the support of the Department Head, job financial performance and manage resources accordingly. • Ability to lead projects across multiple disciplines in a coordinated and integrated approach. Team Leadership • Mentoring and leading others, developing individuals skills, whilst encouraging collaboration and cohesive teamwork. • Lead a team on specific projects within the Group (mainly junior Engineers and Technicians). • Guiding the lower level team members in order to achieve the project success. • Support delivery of the team’s Performance and Development Review process. • Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with ability to work independently. • Experienced technical and project leader; track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within the industry. Business Development • Prepare Technical proposals. • Prepare bid proposals and additional fee proposals with support of the Department Head. • Provide Technical Support to the group in seeking new work from existing clients. Design Experience • Complete Design of RCC & PEB Steel Buildings & Design of specialized structural elements. • Analysis and design of Industrial, Commercial, Residential & Waste water treatment structures. • Preparation of Design calculation Reports as per project specifications and British and American Codes. • Failure investigations of Steel and Concrete structures. • Design Review of design documents of Design & Build Contracts. • Coordinating with Architects, Façade, MEP Consultants and Clients. • Ensure quality of design documentation throughout the design process. • To provide technical expertise to a team of designers and draftsmen. • To coordinate engineering work with other disciplines to solve problems on quality and design. • Maintain up-to-date comprehension of all civil, concrete & steel construction design problems and operating difficulties. • Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data. • Reviewing cost estimates.
