• Job Details:Represent the firm in communications with the client, design consultants and contractor from post contract award, on assigned projects. Technically assess contractor’s submittals in accordance with relevant discipline-focused strategy and procedures, contract specification and established project management policy and procedure manual. • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to the electrical works to achieve time, cost, quality and safety objectives • Monitor and report information with respect to the electrical works submittal progress • Review submitted shop drawings and material submittals against the drawings and specifications, local codes and international best practice (IEC, NEC, ……etc) • Check and ensure co-ordination between Electrical works and all other disciplines • Monitor the Engineers and Inspectors performance to ensure that they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities • Maintain open communication with the client and contractor's discipline engineers on project related issues • Coordinate the works to ensure successful project hand-over • Maintain a daily project related diary • Prepare project reports (written and photographic) on progress of works, quality and technical conformance of the works, safety and other matters • Attend engineering and progress meetings with the contractor/client's representative • Identify issues and risks that need to be brought to the attention of senior project management as necessary • Actively manage the QA/QC project requirement with the electrical works. • Review as built and O&M manuals for completeness • Supervise and technically assist MEP Engineers/Inspectors • Assist Quantity Surveyor in the assessment of contractor’s claims for variation to contract • Assist the Planner in the assessment of contractor schedules and other planning matters. • Ensure orderly completion & timely assessment of project submittals and documentation • Recording and monitoring of all site electrical works activities and costs being expended on the project • Preparation and summaries of all measured electrical works • Maintain a schedule of submissions and responses, for approvals, inspections, variations. • Prepare take offs from drawings and compare with site measurements • Preparation of Interim Valuations and Final Account • Preparation of Electrical Tender documents including pricing • Tabulation of Price Comparison and Cost Summary • Preparation of Contractor payments and recording • Preparation of Monthly Commercial reports in conjunction with PM and site team • Maintain all Electrical QS documents and logs / registers applicable • Co-ordinate with all company departments as required for the execution of the Project
