• Job Details:• Set the occupational safety and health requirements for any activity that takes place inside the airport (Purchasing, warehousing, and contract selection). • Review the compliance with all occupational safety and health requirements within all work sites in the airport (landside and airside) through continuous internal auditing. • Conduct health and safety training and awareness sessions to all the personnel of the airport at all levels. • Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices, assist with development of risk assessments, control practices and programs. • Full supervision of the contractors’ work while carrying out their work inside the airport (construction work - excavation work - paving work). • Review incident/accident statistics and make recommendations to senior management for corrective actions. • Development of technical specifications of personal protective equipment, and ensure compliance with standard specifications. • Periodic inspection of restaurants and cafeterias inside the airport through a prepared check list to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health instructions and to review the validity of the food items provided. • Prepare annual and semi-annual statistics on workers’ injuries and occupational diseases and sending them to the labor office on time. • Participate in evacuation experiments, develop and update the airport’s emergency plan. • Conduct a periodic check on the fire-fighting equipment and first aid kits. • Insure that combustible and other hazardous materials are used and stored according to approved procedures. • Conduct safety and environmental measurements in the work place, verify threshold limits, and submit recommendations to management to avoid points of non-conformity. • Monitoring energy consumption, working to reduce it, reducing emissions, and working to find alternative sources of energy. • Waste disposal management through source separation and safe handling of hazardous waste. • Follow up on pest control, prevent their sources, and manage wildlife in a way that does not hinder aviation movement. • Conduct, follow up, and update the environmental impact of all activities that take place within work sites, establish control procedures to reduce risks, and follow up on the implementation of those procedures.
