ABDELRAHMAN ASSAR

Throughout my life I have been always passionate and enthusiastic about arts, especially painting, free hand sketching, crafting physical models and sculpturing. Thus, in 2010, I decided to start my early studies in Architecture, with a merit-based scholarship at the faculty of Engineering, Sanaa University, Yemen for two years followed by four fruitful years of undergraduate studies at the department of Architecture of the faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University, Egypt, where I eventually obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture in 2015, with a grade of Very Good and a rank third over my class.In 2014, I participated in the 14th Biennale di Architettura di Venezia competition organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in Cairo to represent the Egyptian pavilion in Venice, Italy, where I got the opportunity to reveal and focus on one of the architectural fundamental elements (Pigeon Towers) in order to preserve and inspire from its materials and structural system.
