  • Job Details:• Started as MENA Social Media Officer in 2016, then the title and scope were changed to MENA Digital Communications Officer in 2017. • MENA portfolio focused mostly on Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, and Palestine. • Produced original content from the field for digital platforms. • Conducted a field visit to Yemen for two weeks in 2016. Visited Aden, Dhalea, and Atturba (south of Taiz). • Acted as an interim Field Communications Manager in North Syria during the battle of Raqqa for three weeks in 2017. Visited Derek, Tal Abyab, Kobane, Manbij, and Raqqa Samra. • Developed digital campaigning strategies and implement them in the MENA region, for example: #1Year0Salary – Healthcare under siege in Taiz – Syria Crisis Anniversary in 2017 • Acted as the focal point for crisis monitoring. • Provided social media management support especially during crises, for example: AlQuds hospital attack – Abs hospital Attack – The battle for Aleppo – Saraqib hospital attack. • Provided training workshops to field staff in the MENA region on digital communications and open source monitoring. • Led digital recruitment and institutional activities for Lebanon and Egypt. • Acted as a member of MSF’s International Digital Working Group that promotes digital transformation inside MSF and led on the digital monitoring and verification file. • Adapted MSF’s communications packages to different social media formats. • Introduced international digital initiatives to the MENA region such as Missing Maps.
