  • Job Details:• Conducting routine chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished paint products to ensure they meet established specifications such as viscosity, colour, density, pH, drying time, opacity, and stability. • Verifying the consistency of formulations and helping scale up laboratory processes to production levels. • Identifying any quality-related issues during production, such as defects in colour, texture, or consistency, and providing solutions including analysing root causes of batch variations and deviations, then recommending corrective actions to minimize defects and rework. • Documenting all QC test results, including any deviations, corrective actions, and decisions made during the testing process including detailed quality reports, product specifications, and certificates of analysis for internal and external use. • Ensuring all testing and procedures are in line with industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.), company-specific quality control guidelines, safety and environmental regulations. • Supervising lab activities to ensure tests are conducted accurately and timely, with proper handling and storage of chemicals and samples. • Working closely with production, R&D, and technical teams in case of quality concerns or batch discrepancies and ensure smooth production workflows. • Ensuring that laboratory instruments (e.g., spectrophotometers, viscometers, pH meters) are properly calibrated and maintained for accurate test results including routine checks and troubleshooting on QC equipment. • Identifying areas for improvement in testing methodologies, processes, or equipment to enhance efficiency and product quality. • Monitoring the operation of wastewater treatment -DAF- unit, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and aeration processes including the conduction of regular chemical and physical tests on wastewater samples, such as: pH, COD, BOD, TDS, and turbidity, for ensuring wastewater meets regulatory discharge standards, internal quality guidelines, environmental regulations and standards for disposal or reuse.

  • Job Details:• Conducting thorough chemical and physical tests on incoming batches of calcium carbonate to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications including particle size distribution, fineness, hiding power, water absorption, and whiteness. • Ensuring that calcium carbonate conforms to the required specifications for different grades of paint. • Evaluating and qualifying new suppliers of calcium carbonate based on their material quality, consistency, and ability to meet production requirements including communication with suppliers to resolve any issues regarding material quality and addressing non-conformance with raw materials. • Documenting test results and preparing detailed reports for raw materials. • Overseeing the proper storage and handling of calcium carbonate to prevent contamination or degradation of material quality including proper labelling, inventory management, and traceability protocols are followed for all raw materials in the warehouse. • Identifying and investigating quality-related issues caused by calcium carbonate during production, such as inconsistencies in texture, dispersion, or viscosity in finished paints. • Ensuring the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments used for testing calcium carbonate including routine checks and troubleshooting any issues with testing equipment. • Implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on root cause analysis of any quality issues or deviations in raw material performance.
