Job Description
- Oversee all vehicle maintenance operations to ensure that company vehicles are effectively maintained and serviced.
- Develop and implement maintenance service schedules to ensure that repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently and at the appropriate times to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Negotiate contracts for vehicle maintenance as required and ensure that all contractual obligations are met to the required standards.
- Provide technical advice on vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment to managers and staff to ensure that specifications are met and the company complies with legal requirements.
- Develop and monitor the operation of all necessary systems and procedures to ensure that vehicle and garage safety standards are adhered to.
Job Requirements
- A relevant technical qualification
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of vehicles, traders and ancillary equipment
- 0-5 years’ experience
- Supervisory experience and understanding of fleet management and transport legislation
- Good communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
