Job Description
The position will provide administration and support for VMware. The individual will have extensive experience in administrating, upgrading, patching and troubleshooting Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments (Active Directory, User Management, Group Policy). The individual be familiar with and capable of managing, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting other Microsoft applications such as Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft 365. A solid understanding of network and communication configuration and troubleshooting.
- Additional responsibilities could include configuring and troubleshooting hardware infrastructure such as physical servers, storage arrays, networking and other traditional types of data center and enterprise infrastructure.
- The individual will also be capable of writing documentation and consistently following defined support processes.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT industry
- Validated knowledge & troubleshooting skills of VMware ESX & ESXi & vSphere versions and
- Troubleshooting user level issues
- Administration & troubleshooting skills on Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
- Participation on Major/Severity incidents for resolution and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for the Major incidents.
- Proven experience in ESX Server Installation and configuration of virtual switches, network connections and port groups configure Storage
- Familiar with and capable of managing, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting other Microsoft applications such as Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft 365.
- Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting hardware infrastructure such as physical servers, storage arrays, networking and other traditional types of data center and enterprise infrastructure.
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
