Job Description
- Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labor force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control
- Plan and coordinate a project from start to finish, including organizing the schedule of work, costings and budget.
- Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment.
- Hire and manage staff for the project.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.
- Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers.
- Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.
- Responsible for performing full construction management and contract coordination duties.
- Follow up with the various parties involved to ensure compliance with their respective contractual obligations.
- Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan.
- Monitor and report to the Project Manager.
- Preparation of various reports as required.
- Review of contractor’s progress reports, progress payments, etc. and making recommendations.
- Attendance of meetings including Project’s Executive Committee, design, construction, Value Engineering, etc.
- Preparation of minutes of meeting for above.
- Prepare records and report on daily construction progress, problems, etc.
- Ensures all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented.
- Monitoring of supervision of construction activities, etc.
- Monitoring site activities for compliance with safety, specifications, and schedule.
- Communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project.
- Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project.
- Performs such duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience with 10:15 years.
- Minimum 5 years of strong Site Engineering management experience.
- Excellent use of specialist construction management computer applications.
- Auto Cad, Excel, Word, ICDL.
- Decision making.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High Leadership Skills and Problem Solving.
- High attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
