Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site wooden works activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Interpret and review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents related to wooden works installations.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of wooden components within overall construction projects.
- Monitor and manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Oversee the installation, finishing, and quality control of wooden products, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and durability.
- Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies on-site, providing timely solutions to maintain project progress.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, progress updates, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of wooden materials and components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on design, materials, and installation processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Wood Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role, specifically in wooden works or carpentry projects.
- Strong knowledge of wooden materials, joinery techniques, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards on construction sites.
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to changing project requirements.
