Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cyber Security Solutions Hardware/Software Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cyber security technologies, network infrastructure, and industry best practices. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating, implementing, and maintaining effective cyber security hardware solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Hardware Expertise:

• Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on cyber security hardware technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network appliances, and encryption devices.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hardware security solutions and emerging threats.

2. Solution Evaluation and Selection:

• Collaborate with clients to assess their specific security needs and challenges.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware solutions based on client requirements and industry standards.
• Provide insights into the compatibility, scalability, and effectiveness of various hardware options.

3. Solution Implementation:

• Design and oversee the implementation of cyber security hardware solutions, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful deployment and configuration.
• Provide expert guidance and technical consultancy to clients, explaining complex hardware security concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Assist clients in defining and implementing hardware security policies and protocols.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software security specialists, network engineers, and IT teams, to ensure holistic security strategies.
• Engage with clients to ensure the successful integration and ongoing management of security hardware solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Hardware Specialist, with a focus on evaluating, implementing, and maintaining security hardware solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of cyber security hardware technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption devices.
• Familiarity with network architecture, protocols, and infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex security challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in assessing hardware performance and implementing optimizations.
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving security landscapes and technologies.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple hardware implementation projects.
