You will be part of the Procurement Team who provide sustainable solutions for our customers based in Dammam City, Shati corniche. By joining this team, you will have a chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and challenges.
Purpose of the role:
Secures purchasing activities for the Mining Service division, using selected suppliers to ensure product supply and profitability.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.
Purchases products/items of expertise area at the right quality, characteristics, and volume.
Participates in the selection of suppliers by analysis and evaluation and handles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers to build and maintain close relationships with suppliers.
Monitors the operational performance of the selected suppliers in order to ensure that Flsmidth capacity to deliver is stable and long term.
Coordinates between the different departments to ensure timely procurement involvement and to ensure that all relevant information is available to Procurement.
Negotiates terms and conditions independently within the given framework.
Compiles specific reports and performs calculations to support Procurement.
Builds and maintains relationships with supplier to secure future delivery of products.
Ensures the group sourcing strategy is understood within the business unit and follows up on whether objectives are met.
What you Bring
Bachelor of Science/National Diploma Engineering/ CIPS accreditation or the equivalent.
At least 8 eight years’ experience in a purchasing role.
Solid technical background
Experience in matrix reporting structure.
Solid commercial and financial understanding.
Understanding of technical specification in purchase orders.
Planning and Organizing
Coping with Pressure and Setbacks
Persuading and Influencing
Promote teamwork and cooperative effort.
Help train and give guidance to other FLSmidth employees.
Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area.
Provide customers with the highest quality of products and service.
Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes.
