ICC (Integrated Control Center) Application Engineer

Purpose of the Job

This position's main tasks is to design, implement, test for application activity for integrated central control system projects. Knowledge of the operation and configuration of Microsoft Windows OS(W. server) is necessary. Coding experience and knowledge of TCP/IP networks is desirable. Also, a know-how of railway Signalling principles, techniques and associated products (Interlocking, Traffic Management System, Safety, Quality etc.), as also experience in this field, is an advantage.

Key accountabilities:

ICC System includes 3 subsystems: ATS (Automatic Train Supervision), SCADA and Security System. The ICC Application Design Engineer main responsibilities are:

• Define DataPrep plan.
• Define, produce, and validate all ICC application data and parameters to customize a System / Sub-system for a given project/product.
• Produce customized engineering like interconnexion between the System / Sub-system and external sources.
• Perform Data Preparation for ATS, SCADA and Security System based on the Design Document and Tools. Test DataPrep output.
• Ensure configuration management for project data.
• Provide feedback to inputs producers (System team, ATS Specification project team, ATS tools team)
• Perform Integration between products, modules, Interfaces, including HMI, and data. Produce deployment tool.
• Define documents and perform test such as Inspection & Test Plan/Integration Test Description/Integration Test Report (ITP/ITD/ITR) and its traceability.
• Verify ITP/ITD/ITR to produce Test Description Verification Report (ITDVR).
• Perform DyR to V&V team, providing status of version, functions added and restrictions. Provide integration data contributing to Verification & Validation (V&V) documentation. Initiate release note.
• Support defect analysis to identify component causing issue (product, module, data, Human Machine Interface (HMI)…). Interface with producer to resolve.
• Define ,produce and Validate the applications data and parameters needs for ICC(ATS,TMS and SCADA).
• Prepare estimates to complete work tasks. Monitor engineering progress against budget throughout project duration.
• Facilitate ongoing communication between individuals, team, team leader and other teams.
• Support the Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) in the Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, including equipment codification request (CLAMP) and quantities.
• To understand system requirements and interfaces, carry out report analysis with ALSTOM standard platform.
• To realize the integration activities required for system/subsystems, to match system requirements, taking into account Quality/Cost/Delivery (QCD) objectives of the project
• Perform the HMI Software modules detailed design & coding(HMI Graphics (Symbols / Mimics)) and ensure the HMI development process in followed during development.
• Perform database preparation files.
• Put the work product under configuration management according to product Configuration Management Plan
• Support the ICC integration and V&V teams
• Specifies, designs and develops validation environment & tools (test bench, recording tools, simulated I/O, …)
• Travel to various field sites to support installation and commissioning
