Warehouse Manager

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations. These operations include shipping, inventory, delivery. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop procedures for supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, or operation
• Confer with a supply chain planner to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure the availability of products.
• Manage inventories along with the warehouse team and develop ways to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.
• Select transportation routes through the logistics team to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
• Monitor suppliers' activities to assess performance in meeting quality or delivery requirements.
• Participate in the coordination of new initiative launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Responsible for routinely reporting on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
• Manage the decision of appropriate equipment and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
