Job Description
- Prepares, coordinates, administers and issues the Company HSE documents during proposal, engineering, construction and start up stages of the project(s).
- Identifies and specifies HSE requirements aimed at protecting human life and avoiding environmental impacts.
- Prepares and issues HSE/HSSE plans/programs (identify activities, associated hazards, risk assessment, control measures, and methods to achieve the existing and additional control measures as per OHSAS 18001 requirements)
- Submits and shares the lessons learned from incidents with all disciplines and HSE coordinators.
- Prepares and discusses HSE areas of concern in the Company HSE committee meetings as well as recording the minutes of meetings.
- Reviews, issues and records HSE data gathered from monthly sites HSE reports required to prepare yearly HSE performance and incidents statistics for management review. Thus, to ensure continual improvement and effective HSE management.
- Establishes and updates the HSE filing system.
- Coordinates HSE supporting documents required by the Company management systems for auditing purpose.
- Participates in preparing and regularly updating the Company HSE instructions.
- Follows-up HSE actions required by audits, incidents recommendations, HSE meetings and customers’ complains.
- Coordinates all EGPC instructions and incidents reports to sites HSE coordinators.
- Ensures the full implementation of the Company manuals, procedures and departmental work instructions in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems.
Job Requirements
- Wide knowledge of HSE systems.
- Wide knowledge of oil and gas construction activities.
- Wide knowledge of the requirements of the applicable health, safety & environmental laws, regulations, codes and standards.
- Advanced course of safety & health (Egyptian Safety Institute)
- OSHA General industries.
- Hazard identification and evaluation (HAZID)
- Protection from radiation.
- Environmental Management System (EMS) internal auditor training courses.
