Job Description

Intertrade is seeking a Planning Engineer / Planning Specialist to support the execution of production planning activities across the factory. This role focuses on detailed scheduling, order follow-up, ERP updates, and day-to-day coordination with production and support functions to ensure that production plans are executed as intended.

The Planning Engineer will work closely with the Planning Section Head and production teams to monitor progress, track order status, and support planning accuracy and stability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed production schedules for assigned production lines based on approved plans.
  • Update and maintain production plans and work orders in Odoo ERP on a daily basis.
  • Track production progress on the shop floor and report deviations from plan.
  • Follow up on customer orders and ensure alignment between planned and actual production.
  • Coordinate with Production supervisors and follow-up specialists to ensure execution of schedules.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to confirm material availability for planned orders.
  • Support communication with Sales and Customer Service regarding order status and expected delivery dates.
  • Collect and prepare planning and production data for performance reports and KPIs.
  • Assist in monitoring plan adherence, on-time delivery, and production lead times.
  • Support planning meetings by preparing data, reports, and action follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives through data analysis and problem identification.
  • Escalate risks related to delays, material shortages, or capacity constraints to the Planning Section Head.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Basic to intermediate experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
  • Professional certifications or training related to production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, or data analysis.
  • Experience in the home appliances industry, plastics manufacturing, PVC products, or similar industrial environments.
  • Exposure to make-to-order (MTO) production environments.
  • Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel training or certification.
