Job Description

A dynamic and experienced Career Center Manager to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional career development resources and support to our diverse student body.

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future career success of our students. You will oversee all aspects of the center's operations, ensuring we offer a comprehensive suite of programs and services that empower students to identify their career goals, develop essential job-seeking skills, and connect with potential employers.

Main Duties &Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Career Center, setting goals, developing, and implementing annual plans, and ensuring alignment with the university's mission and objectives.
  2. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, motivating and coaching staff to deliver exceptional service to students.
  3. Identify emerging trends in the workplace and adapt services to meet the evolving needs of students and employers.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with employers from various industries.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage employers in campus recruitment activities.
  6. Facilitate internship and job placement opportunities for students.
  7. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the Career Center's services and resources to students.
  8. Represent the Career Center at university events and meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in career services, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
  • Strong understanding of current career development theories and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in career services software and technology.
  • A passion for student success and career development.
