Job Description
A dynamic and experienced Career Center Manager to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional career development resources and support to our diverse student body.
Play a pivotal role in shaping the future career success of our students. You will oversee all aspects of the center's operations, ensuring we offer a comprehensive suite of programs and services that empower students to identify their career goals, develop essential job-seeking skills, and connect with potential employers.
Main Duties &Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Career Center, setting goals, developing, and implementing annual plans, and ensuring alignment with the university's mission and objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, motivating and coaching staff to deliver exceptional service to students.
- Identify emerging trends in the workplace and adapt services to meet the evolving needs of students and employers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers from various industries.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage employers in campus recruitment activities.
- Facilitate internship and job placement opportunities for students.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the Career Center's services and resources to students.
- Represent the Career Center at university events and meetings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in career services, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
- Strong understanding of current career development theories and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in career services software and technology.
- A passion for student success and career development.
