Job Description

  1. Grow sales volume and profitability with both existing and new customers across a range of Export markets by exploring and capitalizing on new opportunities within the Export marketplace 
  2. Achieve and try to exceed sales & profitability targets ensuring all processes are completed in a professional, accurate, and timely manner 
  3. Identify and drive viable new business opportunities within the Export marketplace through the development of a broad network of external contacts 
  4. Proactively manage and develop existing Export Accounts 
  5. Negotiate terms and logistics with new and existing customers to accelerate business growth and development and build awareness of necessary Export paperwork, processes, and administration to ensure the timely completion of orders. 
  6. Carry out regular key account reviews where necessary with each account ensuring customer requirements are met. 
  7. Identify and report on emerging market opportunities and trends within our product category in targeted Export markets 
  8. Manage communication and coordination of all customs clearance and transportation arrangements including routing, delivery, booking, and other transportation logistics
  9. Respond to inquiries regarding the status of shipments in transit; follow through on trace requests as necessary; provide proof of delivery as requested
  10. Provides exceptional customer service to ensure customer contract requirements are met. 
  11. Ensures that customer complaints are dealt with a high level of competence and adequacy and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance.
  12. Provides monthly reports to management on Export sales results including interpretations and recommendations, as well as other information on business conditions, which contribute to the company’s operating circumstances.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrates knowledge of international markets and competition.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to analyze sales data and determine appropriate actions to improve account position
  • Results-driven with an ability to manage multiple priorities and highly effective follow-through skills
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission.
  • Able to initiate and maintain a wide range of relationships, both internal and external
  • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
  • Strong negotiation skills and listening ability.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, including current packing methods, transportation methods, and regulatory compliance
  • Exposed to different cultures and working environments.
