Job Description

  • Establish policies depend on the purposes of directing maintenance service, providing information and serving as a resource to the Operations and others. Achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines and that to use all possibilities to serve on the Maintenance requirements.
  • Follow- up and controlling daily plant activities and giving instructions to the directing assigned staff to comply with the plant requirements and HSE regulations and receiving the feedback from them. In order to correct any deviations.
  • Follow- up the breakdown of the maintenance activities with assigned staff during the implementation. to ensure that the activities will not exceed the given time
  • Identify the problems and take immediate decisions to maintain the production capacity of the plant in a maximum, analyzes equipment failures, determines causes and gives instructions to assigned staff to do the necessary corrections.
  • Ensure that communication channels within the department is clear and consistent Daily communications with assigned staff (Managers, Engineers) and via the irregular meeting to following the completion of the maintenance operations without any lack of understanding.
  • Follow-up the planning procedures of maintenance complying with manufacturing standard before the implementation and must be matched with inspection procedures, recommendations to avoiding maintenance problems. 
  • Contact assigned staff to study the plant requirements (capital spares, consumable spares and tools…etc.) and putting the priorities according to company strategy and financial situation. 
  • Ensure that the permit system controlled and via safe working environment- PPE for the assigned team and giving them instructions to following all safety precautions according to HSE policies without any deviations to working in a safe mode.
  • Lead and commit to Safety rules and standards in every aspect in the Facility.
  • Sharing information and report any incidents or near-miss to take immediate remedial action.
  • Play an administrative role for making sure that the environmental organizational objectives are in compliance with the environmental rules & regulations in areas such as air quality, waste, water, and pollution.
  • Process all vendors’ invoices for payment which related to administrative support, ensuring proper documentation, review and verify invoices and check requests prior approvals.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering (power/production) preferred.
  • Must have at least 20 years’ experience in Ammonia or Urea plants out of which 10 years in a Managerial position.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft office, especially in report writing (word processing), spreadsheets (Excel) and graphical presentation (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Excellent command of the English language.
