Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with good experience in building production-grade backend microservices.
The Role:
You will work in an innovative, agile, and disciplined team to develop and deliver proprietary software solutions. Contributing to the development process, you will help generate delivery ideas and solutions whilst encompassing the full spectrum of design, coding, and testing. In addition, you will ensure the successful delivery of key strategic objectives through the development of high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features using agile development practices and by writing beautiful, maintainable code in the back end of our systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and departmental events
- Work with in-house and offshore teams to develop and deliver customer requirements
- Share knowledge in modern, SOLID development techniques
- Work under a TDD mindset with regression testing at the heart of your development strategy.
- Produce code against our set of defined technical standards and processes
- Provide 2nd and 3rd Level support on our software solutions
Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in building production-grade applications using PHP/ Laravel/ Lumen, and knowledge of GoLang/ Java is a plus
- Experience in building RESTful APIs
- Experience in Relational Database Design (MySQL)
- Experience integrating 3rd party services and APIs
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design is a plus
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus
- Experience with Docker/ k8s is a plus
- Experience with AWS is a plus
- Good understanding of agile development practices
- Transparency in communication and decision making
- Ability to be flexible and pragmatic
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not essential
