- Researching background material
- Laying out the screenplay to an agreed format
- Coming up with themes and ideas
- Preparing short summaries of your ideas
- Developing believable plots and characters
- Write catchy, unique, and original video scripts.
- Uses literary skills to create themes for appropriate scripts
- Works to tight deadlines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or any other related field from an accredited college or university
- +2 years experience in media production/ video scriptwriting
- Fluent English Speaker
- Enthusiasm for news and creative ideas for production, as well as strong creative writing skills
- Expert writing and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of content writing would be an asset
- Ability to cope with rejection or to have to rewrite scripts several times.
