Job Description
- Lead and supervise the procurement engineering team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to define technical specifications and procurement needs.
- Oversee the preparation and review of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice disputes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, team performance, and cost savings to senior management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5-9 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Proven experience in leading or supervising procurement teams.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor management processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an on-site, fast-paced environment.
