Job Description
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations of the steel fabrication shop/plant.
- Ensure production targets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
- Supervise cutting, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and project management teams to ensure material availability and timely project delivery.
- Lead, train, and supervise technicians, foremen, and workers in the shop.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures by all team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain compliance with standards and project specifications.
- Enforce occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of machines, tools, and workplace to ensure safety and reliability.
- Ensure proper utilization of equipment, manpower, and materials.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and tools.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience operating mechanical machines in Steel structure factories, including : - Boring machines -Vertical lathes - Horizontal lathes
- Proven experience in operating and programming CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
- Strong ability to manage personnel and production planning.
- Solid understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using design software.
- Good command of English is a plus.
