Job Description
The ideal candidate will be very experienced with all aspects of design of large scale projects. An excellent understanding of furniture and product, interior architecture and design is a must.
Responsibilities
- Work on building FF&E cut-sheets and schedules
- Able to professionally create practical, realistic mood boards that include design and material selection
- Prepare sample boards to include finishes, casework, fabrics, and accessories.
- Select and document specifications, schedules and material references; approved colors, finishes, materials required into a spec or FF&E book.
- speak to suppliers to gain pricing information and samples
- build a strong understanding of suppliers and new suppliers for all FF&E
- Find, assess and manage supplier lists and keep it up-to-date.
- Arrange, manage and attend supplier’s meetings
- Attend coordination meetings with regards to all design matters/FF&E
- Update and maintain the FF&E library.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of +5 years’ experience working on large scale projects
- able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- organized
- self-motivated and able to take responsibility
- good interpersonal skills and able to work as part of an effective team
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An extremely high-level of AutoCAD, Adobe software and Microsoft Office is key. Additional computer program skills would be an advantage, such as InDesign.
