Job Description
- Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
- Update the shop drawing log before sending the shop drawing to the consultant for approvals.
- Review sub-contractors’ shop drawings and coordinate their approval process with the project consultant.
- Quantities surveying for executed works and prepare progress billing.
- Study and prepare requests for information (RFIs) for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
- Coordinate with the Surveying Engineer to provide him all the information about land coordinates and any site measurement required.
- Participate in solving/reporting any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during construction to the project manager for discussion and proper solution.
- Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project and hand over to the project consultant.
- Create inspection request (IR) for consultant approval.
- Archive all project documents.
- Participate in implementing technical office policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree of civil engineering (with 5-7 years of experience in technical office).
- Experience of 3 years in FTTH
- Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, Word and Excel are a must. REVIT and GIS are preferable.
- Professional English language.
- Proven experience with technical drawings and details.
- Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in both Arabic & English languages) including quantity survey.
- Knowledge of design standards, local codes and government regulations.
- High organization skills and ability to prioritize & concurrently service multiple projects.
- Ability to manage own time.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other team members.
- A good eye for details.
