Job Description

We are seeking an Apparel Sourcing Specialist to join our team in the fashion industry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in promoting our production process by sourcing, identifying and managing top-tier suppliers while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, research, and identify potential new suppliers to enhance the company’s vendor base and ensure access to high-quality, cost-effective materials.
  • Prepare detailed supplier evaluation reports based on factory assessments, quality standards, and capabilities.
  • Present shortlisted suppliers to relevant departments for approval and decision-making.
  • Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and company goals.
  • Consult the supplier reference database to shortlist and evaluate suitable vendors.
  • Conduct factory visits to evaluate supplier capabilities and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers to obtain and review pricing proposals, submitting them for management review.
  • Visit key suppliers to verify fabric quantities, colors, and overall readiness for production.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and confirm fabric quantities and colors.
  • Monitor and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • A minimum of 1 - 4 years of experience in apparel sourcing or a similar role within the fashion or textile industry.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing processes, vendor management, and quality assurance in garment manufacturing.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for managing supplier databases and reports.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of current market trends in fabric and clothing materials.
