Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native architecture.
- Implement automation and effective observability stack.
- Work closely with Dev team to deploy and automate CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
- Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies.
- Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments.
- Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team.
- Have on call responsibilities in rotation with the team.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding and practical experience on deploying cloud native applications (experience on GCP is a plus)
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Docker containerization (Kubernetes is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with DBMS administration (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with configuration management & infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
- Hands-on experience with common observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, ELK)
- Hands-on experience with implementing CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Know your way around Linux and the Unix Shell.
- Solid understanding and practical experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
- A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and DevOps culture.
- Strong understanding of common TCP protocols and networking concepts.
- Version control system experience (e.g. Git)
- Effective communication skills.
