Job Description

Job purpose:

Support the Security Manager with some tasks and will be replacing him during his absence and carry out the delegated tasks. He will support coordinating some matters among the Supervisors. He will be accountable in coordination with the Security Manager for the cameramen team and the camera room as well as monitoring and reporting on the functionality of the security equipment and devices

What do we expect from you? 

1- Operations planning and management:

  • Assist the Manager in the implementation of the set security policies, protocols, systems and procedures including standards, loss control, conflict or incidents management, potential theft management
  • Monitors the daily checklists and day to day operations during the absence of the Manager
  • Assists Security Manager in Proposing the annual budget including manpower plan and all resources and tools 
  • Assists the Security Manager in controlling the budgets and monitoring expenses
  • Ensure department schedules for shifts and leaves as well as team distribution on the facility are set in an efficient and effective way to ensure property and people are fully protected 24/7
  • May arrange for and lead conducting the relevant awareness sessions to staff or members as needed to ensure spreading security culture and adhering to the set instructions aiming at securing people and property
  • Keeps Security Manager and Operations Director fully informed of all security-related matters. 
  • Work closely with the Safety and the Engineering departments to make sure Fire fighting systems are properly functioning 
  • Ensure the security operations are running as per the plan for the specific events
  • Ensure the camera team are closely monitoring the club around the clock through their screens to complement the work of the security patrolling team and that they instantly communicate any suspicious observation to their colleagues on the ground and to their manager
  • Ensure keeping the records of the cameras and ensure having backup for that as per the set KPIs and ensure no damage or loss of the recorded data
  • Responsible for the Lost & Found 
  • Assist in reviewing Security logbook daily and raise findings to the Manager
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Participate in/lead investigations as applicable
  • Raise any observed potential risk to the Manager and discuss alternative potential actions
  • Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his field of responsibility.

2- Health and Safety:

  • Attends and participates in Safety & Security meetings
  • Works closely with the Health & Safety Department getting the most efficient means of safety and the lowest level of Property Risk factors.  
  • Giving full support to the Fire and Safety Management and procedures
  • Ensures all team members are working in a healthy and safely manners

3- People Management:

  • Act as a role model of KODE culture and ensure the team are living the culture 
  • Assist in developing job descriptions for all Security staff.
  • participate in the recruitment and training the security security officers and guards

4- Reporting:

  • Assists in preparing reports as applicable
  • Keeps all records and reports concerning Security matters and Club business confidential.

5- Continuous improvement:

  • Compile and analyze data to identify strengths and opportunities 
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the team to propose initiatives and programs to address the opportunities and to maximize Guest Experience
  • Recommend changes to work practices or tools that will improve employees and guests’ security

Job Requirements

What do you need to perform your role?

To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:

  • Education and experience:
    • A Police or Military Academy can be helpful.
    • Bachelors University Degree 
  • Skills and knowledge:
    • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
    • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
    • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
    • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
    • Working knowledge of MS Office
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
    • Intuition and anticipating situations
    • Pre-planning & Organizational Skills  
    • Committed and reliable
    • Conflict Resolution 
    • Ability to effectively manage crises and work under pressure
    • Decision making
