Job Description
Responsibilities
- Build, configure and troubleshoot serves in a 24x7 environment.
- Provide general Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
- Implement, install, configure system infrastructure including AD, Office 356, hyper-V, Linux and windows.
- Perform systems administration, maintenance, and engineering in multiple large enterprise server environments (Linux, Red Hat, CentOS).
- Collect, monitor, and analyze systems performance data.
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise.
- Monitor the system daily and respond quickly to any usability concerns.
- Backup systems and verify that backups have been completed.
- Assist in the development and coordination of project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
- Support management with IT requests and potential new implementations.
- Support in building the technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communication engineering, computer science or a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years' experience as System Administrator.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working Under Pressure and performing efficiently.
- Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus.
- Logical thinker, ability to logically problem solve, proactive in resolving problems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical abilities, project and time management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience working with storage (preferable).
